Wild Scotland Annual Conference
 Thurs 27th November 2008
11am - 4pm
SNH Conference Centre, Battleby, nr Perth

Join us at our annual meeting, find out more about Wild Scotland and participate in this year's discussion 'Wildlife Tourism: Bucking the Trend'.

In these potentially difficult economic times, are wildlife tourism businesses managing to buck the trend of a downturn? How can we ensure that wildlife tourism continues to play an important role in the Scottish tourism product?

We have an interesting programme of speakers to discuss this topic:
  • Wildlife cameraman and presenter, Gordon Buchanan will inspire everyone with why he thinks Scotland's wild
  • Prof Harold Goodwin, Director of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism at Leeds Metropolitan University will bring an international perspective to discussions.
  • Andrew Thin, Chairman of Scottish Natural Heritage will speak about SNH's changing role in supporting and developing wildlife tourism in Scotland.
  • VisitScotland will present their position on wildlife tourism, shaped by their marketing activity and their market research.
  • Caroline Warburton, Manager of Wild Scotland will present the wildlife tourism industry perspective.
The conference itself will run from 11am - 4pm, with the Wild Scotland AGM being held prior to that from 10am - 10.45am.
