Did you know that 2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity?
May the 22nd is International Biodiversity Day and there are celebrations going on across the country. Here are a few ideas:
1st - 12th May: Biodiversity - Vital and Fragile Exhibition

22nd May: International Year of Biodiversity Celebration
Venue: Dunnet Head Educational Trust, Caithness.
Join the discussions at Dunnet Head Educational Trust's Centre when there is a live link up between Dunnet Head and the David
Attenborough Centre, London. Dunnet Head is a rich source of biodiversity with its wealth of
birdlife and wildlife, its peat bog, and folds of Highland cattle. Dunnet
Head has been designated as a “Special Place” by Scottish Natural Heritage, recognising its wealth of bird and plant life and its peat bog.

22nd May: Bird Calls for Beginners Walk
Venue: Cream o'Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway
Learn some
basic bird calls on this lovely walk at organic farm, Cream o'Galloway near Castle Douglas. Walk starts at 10am. Price £3.
