Wild Scotland is a membership organisation and we are always happy to receive new members.
There are three levels of membership:
- Full: for organisations providing commercial wildlife watching experiences in Scotland.
- Tourism Business: for organisations who provide a tourism service and wish to be involved with Wild Scotland. Or wildlife watching businesses who are not commercial or have been trading for less than a year.
- Associate: for organisations who do not provide a tourism service, but wish to be associated with the Wild Scotland network.

Benefits of MembershipWildlife Tourism Marketing: joint marketing & individual advertising opportunities- FREE entry on Wild Scotland website, includes photo, text and web-link. The website receives over 8000 unique visitors a month.
- FREE listing in Wild Scotland brochure, distributed at travel shows, entry points to Scotland, WS members’ properties and direct enquiries.
- Inclusion in Wild Scotland press activity: over 50 articles and interviews placed in 2008/2009 with total advertising value equivalent (ave) of £650,000. Coverage includes The Observer, The Scotsman, Scotland Outdoor magazine, BBC Radio Scotland and online travel and news sites.
- Press trips through Wild Scotland and VisitScotland. 2009 trips included The Scottish Sun, The Scotsman and two Dutch publications.

- Representation at Travel Shows: e.g British Bird Fair (Rutland Water, August 2009, 22,000 visitors)
- Use of Wild Scotland logo on marketing material, including VisitScotland.com website.
Business Support and Networking- Networking opportunities with other tourism operators and like-minded companies.
- Regular e-newsletter for marketing, environment, market research, policy and business news. Discounted places on training and seminars run by Wild Scotland, including our annual wildlife tourism conference.
- Access to wild-scotland.co.uk members’ area containing business advice and further information.
- Wild Scotland acts as point of contact for agencies and the wildlife tourism sector.
- Involvement in development of Best Practice Guidelines for wildlife tourism.
- Business Advice available via workshops and members’ section of website.
