Wildlife Photography Competition
About the Competition...
Judge: Peter Cairns, Nature Photographer
Pete Cairns’ wildlife and nature photographs are well-known in Scotland and beyond. Based in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, much of his photography concentrates on the unique species and spectacular landscapes found close to home. Over the last decade, he has travelled extensively in North America and Scandinavia and his images are distributed by several national and European picture libraries. He runs photography holidays both in Scotland and abroad and writes illustrated features for magazines and periodicals on a wide range of wildlife-related issues such as nature-based tourism and ecological restoration. His latest project, Tooth and Claw, explores our relationship with Britain's predators. Web: www.northshots.com
The Prize:
Explore magical Loch Sunart in Ardnamurchan and be your own skipper for the day. Ardnamurchan Charters are offering one of their new self-drive boats for a full days hire in Loch Sunart. The Pioneer Multi boat can carry up to 6 passengers, and the prize includes all tuition, fuel and life jackets (daily price is normally £145). Ardnamurchan Charters have been providing boat hires for 20 years and feel they are a fantastic way for photographers to explore the local waters and experience the abundant wildlife of the loch from the water and at their own leisure.
