Voxter Outdoor Centre is a former country house turned outdoor centre in Northmavine, offering simple, comfortable group accommodation for up to 24 guests in the north mainland of Shetland. Set in its own grounds of trees and burnside, it provides a peaceful base within easy driving distance of Brae and the spectacular coastal landscapes of Eshaness and Northmavine. Inside, guests have exclusive use of a well‑equipped self‑catering kitchen, spacious dining room and a large sitting room suitable for talks, activities or just relaxing after a day outside. The layout suits school and youth groups, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions, outdoor clubs, volunteer work parties, creative retreats and extended family gatherings. The surrounding area offers excellent walking, coastal and moorland exploration, bird and wildlife watching, and easy access to beaches and local heritage sites, making Voxter an ideal hub for discovering Shetland’s outdoors in all seasons. Voxter Outdoor Centre is owned and managed by Voxter Centre Trust, a Scottish registered charity, and all income supports the ongoing care and development of this community‑run facility.
