Surfing (Beach, Kite, Wind)

Sea

Although there are endless ways to surf the waves in Scotland; traditional surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing are the most popular. You'd be surprised to know that surfers flock from across the globe to Scotland's beaches and that it's a great destination for consistent surf and world-class waves.

Kite surfing is growing in popularity and combines aspects of surfing, paragliding and windsurfing. Using a big kite, let the power of the wind propel you along the water. If you are an expert windsurfer, then Scotland’s Atlantic coast and islands – and in particular the coast of Tiree – will prove irresistible - here a surf sail is attached to the board and you can skim over the waves at great speeds.

Our members provide introductory courses, equipment rental as well as lessons if you want to improve your existing surfing skills. All Wild Scotland members operate in line with our Best Practice Guidelines in regards to sustainability, accessibility, community and safety.
