As we pass mid-summer 2026, we’re enjoying the long summer nights here in Scotland. The extended hours of light provide expansive days for immersing ourselves in Scotland’s magnificent outdoors: exploring, discovering and enjoying the landscapes and coastlines of our beautiful country. Come and join us!
Explore Scotland on foot
Walking is a great way to see Scotland, whatever your age or ability. Many of our members offer exceptional walking experiences, from short guided walks to longer expeditions. To ‘bag a Munro’ is to reach the summit of a Scottish mountain which is over 3,000 ft (914.4 m) in height – many aspire to climb all 282 of them! But reaching the top of just one of them gives an incredible sense of accomplishment and the mountain vistas can be exceptional in the right conditions. Smaller hills are referred to as Grahams and Corbetts, and although not as high as a Munro, they still provide a fantastic day out with stunning views. Scotland also has various long-distance walking routes, some on flatter terrain if going up and down isn’t your thing!
